115 years.
One way to build.
An independent house rooted in Oloron-Sainte-Marie, installed in the Pyrenees. Performance bicycles, precision restorations, and Pyrenean experiences, all built around the conviction that a bicycle is a human masterpiece, not a product.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Mechanical intelligence over trends.
We are not a distributor. We are not a shop. We are a house. A small, independent structure that selects, builds, restores, and guides with a single criterion: does this make sense for the rider?
A bicycle is a system. Frame geometry, component selection, terrain, rider morphology: everything must answer to everything else. We don't build to catalogue pages. We build to purpose.
The Pyrenees are not a backdrop. They are the laboratory. Every road we ride, every pass we cross, every gravel track we document feeds back into the bicycles and experiences we design.

WHAT WE DO
Made-to-measure bicycles
Steel frames built by hand in Italy by Vincenzo Forgione. Every geometry is specific. Every build answers a precise intent.
Selected parts
Rodeo Adventure Labs framesets brought directly from the USA. TriRig aero components. Wolf Tooth precision parts. Selected because we ride them, not because we represent them.
Precision restoration
Vintage steel frames restored or converted by Daniel Planas in Pau, France. A second life for bicycles that carry history.
Pyrenean experiences
Training camps, tailored escapes, editorial recon, and “La Isolé” sportive event. Designed for riders, media, and brands who want the Pyrenees without the package.

Borau, Aragon.
The village of Javierre.
The home of La Isolé.
The location of our workshop.
The place where 115 years of history converges with today's bicycles.
HERITAGE
The house of Habierre.
From a small village in the Aragonese Pyrenees to the roads of the Tour de France, from Alcyon to Regina Sport, from a family epic to an industrial saga, the story of Royal Asport is unique. By taking over the brand in early 2019, we also took over its history. This is our heritage, and we are excited to share it with you.

OUR TEAM
The cyclists

Our
manifesto.

We are Marc Duchesne and Diego Camarero, we come from France and Spain respectively, we are close friends and we share the same passions for cycling and the Pyrenees. We are the dreamers and creators of Royal Asport, 21st Century version.
When we decided to work together on the rebirth of Royal Asport in 2020, our goal was more ambitious than just relaunching another old cycling
brand. Our goal is
to
honor the legacy of Joseph Habierre and his family.
We want to develop here in the Western Pyrenees a sustainable ecosystem based on cycling.
To do this, we will:
→
Design and assemble bicycles in Oloron Sainte-Marie, Béarn and Borau, Aragon
→ Organize events to
encourage cyclists and tourists to ride in Navarra, Béarn, and Aragon
→ Evangelize the world by
accompanying cyclists on their adventures in the Pyrenees and abroad
→ Think globally by
promoting Pyrenean know-how throughout the planet
→ Act locally by developing activities
with the habitants of the Pyrenees
Our territory. Both sides of the border.
Béarn, Navarra, Aragon. The Western Pyrenees are not a backdrop: they are the condition of everything we do. Every bicycle we build has been tested here. Every route we design has been ridden here. Every decision is made with these roads in mind.
OUR FOUNDER
Habierre, champion and entrepreneur.
Joseph Habierre was the first Spaniard to race the Tour de France, in 1909. The Tour was 7 years old, and Joseph was 21. Two years later, he declined the official invitation from Henri Desgrange to participate in the 1911 edition because he preferred to take care of his bike shop in Oloron Sainte-Marie, his adopted town.
With his children Cécile and Auguste, he transformed the shop into a workshop,
building among the most advanced bicycles of the time : Royal Asport was born.

DOCUMENTARY
Javierre, isolé.
The documentary “Javierre, Isolé” directed by the brothers Ignacio & Carlos Naya tells the story of the first Spaniard to participate in the Tour de France: José María Javierre, known as Joseph Habierre in France. In 1909, Joseph finished the Tour in 17th place. He raced again the following year, finishing in 24th position.
Diego Camarero and the residents of Borau participate in the documentary.
“The Pyrenees don't separate France and Spain.
They connect them, through passes, through riders, through stories that don't fit neatly on either side of a border.”
Christian Laborde, writer

H, as in
Habierre Joseph
A text by Christian Laborde in “Le Tour de France”.
“Joseph was 17 years old when he bought his first bike. When he's not breaking stones, he pedals like crazy, like a madman, never tired, kidneys of steel, legs of fire. Here he is running. Here he is, the terror of Béarn. He won Monein - Artix - Monein then Pau - Puyoô - Pau. Terror, yes, because he wins both on the road and on the track of the Pau velodrome, in Bois-Louis. He tells Orosia that he wants to do the Tour de France. He is going to do it. He signs up.”
