Royal Asport. The best bicycles for the rest of us. Tailor-made for you.
In 1892, the young Orosia Rapún walked from Jaca, in Aragon, to Lescar, in Béarn, via the Somport pass. More than 125 kilometers in the mountains, along the Aspe valley, with her five children including a baby, and a few belongings. Our most popular bike bears her first name, in homage to her courage and determination.

Here in the Pyrenees, roads can turn into gravel tracks around a bend. The Tour de France tarmac is only for Le Tour. Auñamendi and its rim brakes counterpart Collarada are our response to a need: The need for a lightweight road bike that can also ride on vineyard paths.

Brest - Caen, 424 kilometers, penultimate stage of the 1909 Tour de France. Left behind following a fall during the night, recovering 80 minutes behind the peloton, Joseph Habierre finished 20th in the stage, less than 4 hours behind winner. To this day, this remains the greatest solo feat in the history of the Tour! This bike is an expression of our respect for Joseph.

As with all our bikes, our repair station got its name long before it was sketched on paper : “Cajolar”. In Spanish, this word means "to cajole." In the Basque Country, the shepherd's huts found throughout the mountains are called “cayolars”. The pun was easy. Because we hope that one day, we will find our stations everywhere in the mountains!
FROM $990 WITH 8 TOOLS!
In the early 1960s, Royal Asport was present in the professional peloton, with the Spanish KAS team. Victories in the biggest Spanish races, and places of honor in the Tour de France, with riders born here in the Pyrenees. Our jerseys are a form of celebration of this great era.
The footprint of the Pyrenees
The roots of Royal Asport are in the Western Pyrenees. The Basque Country, Navarra, Aragon, and Béarn, four provinces which have shaped our history and form our daily lives. The “1909” line of clothing and accessories illustrates our attachment to these mountains and those who live there.
Mountain passes & good food
From Bernard Hinault's fantastic ride during the Bayonne - Pau stage of the 1986 Tour de France to Tadej Pogačar's first victory on the Tour in Laruns in 2019, the Western Pyrenees are rich in stories which also make up the great history of world cycling. We invite you to share them together during sporting stays built around the biggest stages of the Tour and the Vuelta here...
