How to order a Royal Asport bicycle

Ordering a Royal Asport bicycle is very simple. In just five small steps:

fill out your rider card, select your model, choose your build, choose your decoration,

confirm your choice by selecting your bike and its options, there it's done!

When we receive your pre-order, we check it with you to make sure it meets your wishes: Once we receive your request, we review it and then check everything with you before sending you the estimate. Then if you agree with this quote, you just need to send us a deposit (non refundable) so we can start building your frame and secure component supply. This is where the serious things begin: Building the bike of your dreams!

STEP 1: YOUR RIDER CARD

The postural study is essential to adjust your new Royal Asport bike to your own dimensions. It will ensure your comfort, performance and safety.
First, we need your detailed body measurements: your height, inseam, arm length and a few other factors. Next, if you already have a bike, we'd like to know some information about your current settings: saddle height, saddle setback, handlebar position, plus a few other numbers.
This is why we suggest you fill out here the Rider Card and send it back to us!

Ideally, you can also visit your favorite bike shop for a full bike fitting session, to determine your ideal position on the bike, ensuring both comfort and maximum power. Send us the data, and we'll take care of the rest. Our frame builder is there to transform steel into a pure treat for your eyes and your legs.

Overall, bike fitting for a hand-built, custom bike is a highly personalized process that involves carefully measuring the rider's body, determining the ideal riding position, and making necessary adjustments to the bike. -even. We want you to enjoy riding your Royal Asport bike, which is why we are so committed to your Rider Card!

STEP 2: THE MODEL

Then it's all up to you. What do you really want? A competition bike designed for granfondos, a bike capable of riding just as fast on the road and on trails? We have what you need. Our six models are designed to meet your needs. Select the type you really want: Gravel, Road, or Allroad, choose the type of assembly and decoration: Catalog or à la carte.

STEP 3: BUILDS

At Royal Asport, no esoteric components from a famous online commerce platform whose name starts with "Ali" and ends with "Express". All our bikes are equipped with components and accessories from brands with a proven reputation, including cable housings and bottle cages!

Our standard builds are offered in 3 different equipment levels and therefore prices, depending on the drivetrain: 11, 12 or 13 speeds for the Orosia gravel bike model, 10, 11 or 12 speeds for the 424 road bike model. For each model, the finish is naturally identical regardless of the transmission chosen. For example, the welds are entirely hand polished, the derailleur housings (and brakes for the 424) are articulated, and the handlebar caps are our iconic French and Spanish flags.

If a part is unavailable, we replace it by a component equivalent in performance and quality.

STEP 4: DECORATION

You have filled out your Rider card, you have chosen your new Royal Asport bike and its build, the last step is to choose its decoration. With our catalog templates, it's easy, because we wanted it to be simple! You have the choice between our standard "varnished raw steel" scheme, which gives your Royal Asport bike a unique appearance, and optional 4 "color" schemes with a matte or glossy finish.

If you want another color or another decoration including the most exotic, such as the reproduction of the profile of your favorite mountain stage on the top tube or the reproduction of the rarest flower of the Pyrenees on the fork, or if you want a stainless steel frame or why not a half-raw, half-painted frame? Simply tell us your wishes in your pre-order message.

Illustrated here, the Orosia Ekar gravel in its “Gulf” livery.

varnished raw steel

Steel is real: Steel is royal. The “royal” from Royal Asport.

Here, the frame is left raw, the welds are visible. The whole thing is covered with a transparent protective varnish, which reveals the natural coloring of the tubes over time. Depending on the desired effect, we apply between 3 and 5 coats of varnish.

colors

  • Heritage blue: The blue of the 1961 Royal Asport jersey. Timeless.
  • Tour 1961 yellow: The color of the KAS Royal Asport team bikes. Respect.
  • Origins red: The red of the Royal Asport logo of origins. Iconic.

decorations / Gravel & Road

Designed from our three basic colors, the Team and Classic decorations reflect our desire for simplicity and our deep respect for the history of Sport in general and Cycling in particular.

“Gulf” is a tribute to the history of our brand, with the turquoise blue of the original Royal Asport jersey, and also to the history of Motorsport (when you love cycling, you love speed, right? ) with this blue/orange combination called "Gulf", named after the famous sponsor of the Ford GT40s which had the heyday of Le Mans in the late 1960s...

“Classic Yellow” is quite simply the yellow of the bikes of the KAS Royal Asport professional team, which shone on the roads of the Tours of Spain and France.

The “Raw Steel” is even simpler: Carbon fork and varnished raw steel frame, visible silver welds.
