Configuring your Royal Asport bicycle is very simple. Just five steps :
When we receive your pre-order, we check it with you to make sure it meets your wishes. Once we review your request, we’ll check everything with you before sending you the estimate. If you agree with the quote, then you send us a deposit (non-refundable) so we can start building your frame and secure the parts supply. This is where the serious things begin: building the bike of your dreams !
STEP 1: YOUR RIDER CARD
The postural study is essential to adjust your new Royal Asport bike to your own dimensions. It ensures your comfort, performance, and safety. First, we need your detailed body measurements: your height, inseam, arm length, and a few other factors. If you already have a bike, we'd like to know some information about your current settings: saddle height, saddle setback, handlebar position, and a few other measurements. This is why we suggest you fill out the Rider Card and email it to us. Ideally, visit your favorite bike shop for a full bike fitting session to determine your ideal position, ensuring both comfort and maximum power. Send us the data, and we'll take care of the rest.
Bike fitting for a hand-built, custom bike is a highly personalized process that involves carefully measuring the rider's body, determining the ideal riding position, and making necessary adjustments to the bike. We want you to enjoy riding your Royal Asport bike, which is why we are so committed to your rider card!
Then it's all up to you. What do you really want? A racing bike designed for granfondos, or a bike capable of riding just as fast on the road and on trails? We have what you need. Our models are designed to meet your needs. Select the type you really want: Gravel, Road, or Allroad, and let's ride !
We at Royal Asport know that many of you are into Gravel cycling those days. That's why we want to simplify your journey. Our flagship model : The
Orosia gravel bike, is pre-configured, with 1 frame design (our iconic wishbone seatstays) and 4 different builds for 4 different levels of equipment and price depending on the drivetrain: 12 or 13 speeds (including the famous Campagnolo Ekar groupset).
To please those of you who love riding on their very own, unique bike, our other models : The Poxolo gravel bike, Auñamendi and Collarada allroad bikes, 424 MCMIX road bike are 100% bespoke. You define your own build among a choice of components carefully selected to offer you the best experience with the highest level of quality.
Last, the Model8 Carbon road bike is made for the avid cyclists seeking an exclusive machine : Only 8 bikes will be produced, each featuring the SRAM Red AXS 2x groupset paired with the TriRig Omega One rim brakes calipers and a lightweight, handmade wheelset.
You have filled out your rider card, chosen your new Royal Asport bike and its build. The last step is to choose its decoration. With our catalog templates, it's easy because we wanted it to be simple! You can choose between our standard "varnished raw steel" scheme, which gives your Royal Asport bike a unique appearance, and four optional "color" schemes with a matte or glossy finish.
If you want another color or another decoration, including the most exotic, such as the reproduction of the profile of your favorite mountain stage on the top tube or the rarest flower of the Pyrenees on the fork, or if you want a stainless steel frame or a half-raw, half-painted frame, simply tell us your wishes in your pre-order message.
Steel is real: Steel is royal. The “royal” from Royal Asport.
Here, the frame is left raw, the welds are visible. The whole thing is covered with a transparent protective varnish, which reveals the natural coloring of the tubes over time. Depending on the desired effect, we apply between 3 and 5 coats of varnish.
Designed from our three basic colors, the Team and Classic decorations reflect our desire for simplicity and our deep respect for the history of Sport in general and Cycling in particular.
“Gulf” is a tribute to the history of our brand, with the turquoise blue of the original Royal Asport jersey, and also to the history of Motorsport (when you love cycling, you love speed, right?) with this blue/orange combination called "Gulf," named after the famous sponsor of the Ford GT40s that had their heyday at Le Mans in the late 1960s...
“Classic Yellow” is the yellow of the bikes of the KAS Royal Asport professional team, which shone on the roads of the Tours of Spain and France.
“Raw Steel” is even simpler: Carbon fork and varnished raw steel frame, visible silver welds.
All right. All choices are made, you are ready. Now comes our quote, then your confirmation. We will start working on your Royal Asport frame as soon as you have signed off on the following items: Model, frame geometry and design, decoration, parts, and accessories nomenclature.
